Sharp AQUOS LC-52D43U 52 inch LCD TV user reviews
Strengths: Quality of Picture, Ease of Set-up, Very Lightweight
Weaknesses: Resolution for Non HD Channels are a little bit grainey.
Overall Evaluation: This is a great television and definitely one of the best buys for the quality. Watching the HD channels is just so lifelike with everything being so clear and distinct -- it is amazing!"
Strengths: Beautiful picture, loads of options, user-friendly remote control
Weaknesses: Heavy, the stand requires some assembly that may be confusing for some
Overall Evaluation: I bought this TV about a week ago, and I have loved it so far. Unlike many tv's, the tv turns on quickly. The picture is gorgeous in digital, although analog looks terrible at 52 inches. The TV is very heavy and requires two people to assemble and move it.I chose the 720p/1080i model television, and it can be confusing because there is also a 1080p television. Be careful when shopping!"
Strengths: Great picture quality, easy set up, great price.
Weaknesses: Some lag time when switching from a HD channel to a non HD channel
Overall Evaluation: I spent a long time doing research before I decided to purchase a Sharp Aquos TV. After using the product, I am sure I made the right decision. Getting the TV out of the box and setting it up was very easy. The HD picture quality is incredible, especially on sports broadcasts. Surprisingly, non HD channels come in very clear as well. The TV has very clean lines and looks great in my living room. It comes with a great remote and switching between inputs like a dvd player is simple. I would highly recommend this product to others interested in buying a high definition LCD TV."
This is a great new, top brand TV with a great warranty at a price better than many refurbs. The only thing you give up is the top resolution on BluRay viewing, if you sit close enough to the screen for that to matter. You won't have any compromise viewing satellite, over the air HDTV programming, and most streaming devices like Roku. Hint: turn OPC feature ON if you have strange problems with images fading to dark or light after scene changes. It's been a great set since I figured that out."
I love this TV! Not only is it priced well, but it shipped out quickly! It is 720p, but don't let that fool you. To notice the difference in picture quality between 720p and 1080p, you'd have to view a 70" set at six feet or closer. The only downside to the TV is the onboard OPC. This "feature" is supposed to adjust the TV's brightness based on the lighting in the room. What it winds up doing it brightening and dimming the TV during dark or light scenes. Best to just turn it off or adjust it way down."
