Sharp Aquos LC-52D92U 52 inch LCD 1080p HDTV user reviews

"My review for Sharp Aquos LC-52D92U 52 inch LCD 1080p HDTV
Pros: Very clear picture and contrast ratio.

Cons: No connection for a PC computer.

Summary: I was in the market for a HDTV(it was my first) and found the Sharp a real jewel of a set. The outside appearance is like a piece of fine furniture and the picture quality is superb. I upgraded my DVD player in order to take advantage of the HDMI connection and later upgraded my Receiver to an Onkyo 674. So far I have no negative experiences with it."

"My review for Sharp Aquos LC-52D92U 52 inch LCD 1080p HDTV
Pros: superb picture, excellent blacks, plenty of available settings

Cons: Friends get jealous

Summary: This is a fine set. Although I certainly considered the Pioneer 5070, the potential for 1080P and the possibility of glare in a multi-window room made the Sharp a better choice for me. One problem so far...it happened only when watching Nat'l Geographic HD (or was it the Discover Channel HD)the bass vibrated. Only happened twice - but Sharp is ready to address it. I don't understand the banding complaint. Might that have anything to do with the signal? I recently installed Verizon Fios (fiber optic)and am very satisfied with the picture. "

Weaknesses:Remote is a bit too sensitive although i got used to it now
Summary:this is a very good TV , I got it at a very good price at first i was thinking maybe its too big .. but its the right size .. watched couple of movies and just love it.I would recommend this to anyone , btw I compared it to sony and samsung, and i am happy with sharp. "

"My review for Sharp Aquos LC-52D92U 52 inch LCD 1080p HDTV
Strengths: Picture is amazing. I find myself watching things i never watched before. Discovery HD, COPS, and a lot more.

Weaknesses: I really had no idea that non HD channels suck this bad. Non-HD channels are not even watchable. i have the sports package to watch the YES channel and yankees, they games are not in HD in my network.

Overall Evaluation: People have made post or complaints about the speakers, i think the speakers are GREAT! Very loud and sounds like surround. I went to a tv warehouse and there were no sharps there, just mitsubishi, sony, and samsungs. i asked the salesman if he had any sharps and he said no hardly ever because "people don't return sharps"!!! that said it all for me to make this decision. the black edge that surrounds the screen makes it look Sharp!!!"
